About the Scholarship

This scholarship, named after HTN’s official patron, is designed to provide a HTN apprentice with the opportunity to design their own culinary adventure, learning from the worlds best as they go.

Each year, HTN selects a winner of the prestigious HTN Peter Howard AM Future Chef Scholarship. This opportunity awards tomorrow’s chefs with a week’s supported culinary adventure, including travel and accommodation, to train and gain valuable hands on experience with a leading industry partner overseas.

Scholarship Guidelines:

HTN Apprentices can “self nominate” by creating a video submission of no more than 3 minutes duration. Applications are to be submitted as a video link or USB and would be received by HTN up until September 2018 with the following criteria to be addressed by applicants:

• Evidence of extra curricular activities relevant to their trade
• Show a sincere passion for the industry
• Outline how they would be a good ambassador for HTN and the industry in general
• Outline what they would do with up to $5,000 in the UK or China to progress their hospitality career
